Congratulations on your successesful run of building a brand name, growing an empire and maintaining that personal touch. I have been staying at Stoney Creek since 2000 and have passed on the experience to a few friends who enjoy your facilities as well. So often we hear about what we do not do right, it is nice to hear about what we are doing right, huh? This is an email of gratitude. I used to stay a week a month down in Peoria for about three years and got to know crew very well. As my duties at my job grew, I started to spend more time in the Dubuque area staying at the Galena property. Then I was given the LaCrosse area to call on and was happy to find another Stoney Creek. I have only stayed in Moline once, but I enjoyed it.
I have found real people who genuinely care at all of your facilities. How does one do that?! They go the extra mile, they get to know me, get to know my family, and greet us by name as we walk in. it is our home away from home. I'm glad my friends who stay at the La Crosee, Columbia, St. Jo & Wausau properties find the same peace of mind I have found. The company I work for is hosting a meeting in Peoria and wanted to use a marriot or a hilton. Kate has been awesome in getting us taken care of and helping me pursuade to move the meeting to Stoney Creek. Now the event planner at my company sees what I see in Stoney Creek. Leadership starts at the top and trickles down. The Manager, Steve is very good and on top of things.
A few years ago, some of the managament team from your new Missouri property were up in La Crosse for a week. My Mom and Dad met me in La Crosse for dinner. We decided to have a drink at the bar in the hotel and we sat and chatted with the Missourians. Mom and Dad were impressed by the quality of people who work at Stoney and how satisfied everyone was with their employer. My mom kept saying at dinner, now I know why you only stay at a Stoney Creek.
My wife and I are going away this weekend - she doesn't know yet. We are going to Galena to do some wine tasting and are staying at the Galena property - it's like home to us. No kids! I can't wait. Later in the Spring time, we are taking the kids up north to check out the Grand Lodge waterpark. Have a good weekend.
